MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A runaway juvenile reported to be in the Morgantown area on Wednesday was found safe by members of law enforcement.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department announced that Samira Perry, 16, was located safe on Thursday after she was reportedly last seen around downtown Morgantown. According to initial reports, Perry was seen in the Stewart Street area of Morgantown and was walking with a limp when the search notice was released by officials.
Perry was transferred to the custody of the WV Department of Health and Human Services on Thursday.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department offered gratitude to the public for assisting in finding the teenager.
