CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Detroit resident will serve more than 12 years in federal prison for selling dangerous drugs in Harrison County.

Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh sentenced Davonta D. Brogdon, 32, also known as “Tay” or “Zone,” of Detroit, Michigan, to 150 months in federal prison for working with on a larger organization to sell methamphetamine and fentanyl in Harrison County.

Court documents said Brogdon transported large quantities of controlled substances from Detroit to Clarksburg on several occasions. During a traffic stop on one of his trips police recovered 443 grams of methamphetamine and more than 50 grams of fentanyl. Prosecutors also said Brogdon worked to recruit others to assist in the sale of drugs.
