MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. –– The state Division of Highways has announced an extended traffic restriction on I-79 on the Uffington Bridge.

Workers from Triton Construction will begin placing concrete barriers and traffic control measures at mile marker 149 on the Uffington Bridge at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 18 through mid-November 2025.

Tuesday night, March 18, traffic will be shifted to one lane each direction on the bridge. The one lane traffic set up will remain in place through mid-November.

Work on the project will be conducted 24-hours-a-day.

Motorists should expect slower traffic and delays in the project area.
