Fairmont Police Department promotes five officers to rank of Lieutenant

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The City of Fairmont announced that five Fairmont police officers will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

Officers Eric Hudson, Adrian Hayhurst, Jack Frost, Tyler Hall and Jared Martin were promoted as part of a ceremony on Thursday based on the recommendation of Fairmont Police Chief Steve Shine and other senior members of the department.

These promotions are part of a project to restructure the Fairmont Police Department as part of new contract agreed upon with the city and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 69.

The department announced that applications are being accepted for anyone wishing to become a Fairmont police officers.
