Morgantown, W.Va. – The Monongalia County Republican Executive Committee (MCREC) has launched a flood relief supply drive for the families in the southern part of the state recovering from recent floods.
Residents are asked to bring non-perishable food items, especially children’s snacks and drinks, as well as monetary donations to All-Pro Photo & Framing at 918 Chestnut Ridge Road from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday March 28.
The local effort is organized by MCREC with the support of Ron Lytle of Lytle Construction and Dan Estel of NursePro Plus.
Dale Sparks, Chairman of the Monongalia County Republican Executive Committee, emphasized the importance of showing long-term support:
“The Monongalia County Republican Executive Committee decided to help in the flood relief effort for those affected in Southern West Virginia nearly a month ago. Often times, these affected areas are forgotten after the initial help and we decided to help a little later so as to attend to those special needs and to show they are not forgotten. We are West Virginians standing together as one. There is still much needed with cleanup and rebuilding, so with Ron Lytle of Lytle Construction, we will visit the Welch area and assess the needs in helping to restore people’s homes and businesses. We have also partnered with local businessman Dan Estel of NursePro Plus, to provide important nutritional snacks and drinks for the children affected.”
Once collection is complete, a team of about 20 volunteers will travel to Welch to deliver the donations and begin cleanup and damage assessment for future rebuilding efforts. Volunteers are welcome to join and should coordinate with MCREC to prevent duplication of effort.
Checks can be made payable to:

This is a moment for West Virginians to step up for their neighbors and demonstrate the Mountain State’s unmatched spirit of community and compassion.
Lytle will be a guest on WAJR’s “Talk of the Town” Monday.
