The West Virginia State Police announced that Pervous Badilishamwalimu, 81, was taken into custody for allegedly groping the victim while she was caring for his elderly sister in the Twin Knobs apartment complex.
According to court documents, Badilishamwalimu allegedly began to harass the victim while she cared for the elderly woman in her home as part of his frequent visits to the apartment. According to police, one instance involved Badilishamwalimu allegedly walked up behind the victim while she was making the woman food and pushed his body against hers while grabbing her around her waist and grabbing her breasts. While trying to leave, the victim tried to push Badilishamwalimu away where he later placed his hand on her shoulder attempting to keep her near him. After getting away from him, Badilishamwalimu continued to make moaning noises and grunts every time she walked around or bent over to grab a food item.
In interviews with law enforcement, Badilishamwalimu stated that he is “flirtatious,” and that he wanted to “see how far it would go,” despite the victim telling him she was engaged, has a couple of kids and was not interested.
