MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Morgantown Utility Board (MUB) has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for residents along Pennsylvania Avenue.

The advisory was issued at around 9:30 a.m. Thursday with 23 customers living between 447 and 580 Pennsylvania Avenue to be affected until service is restored in the area.

Once service is restored, affected customers are advised to boil their water before consumption until the boil water advisory is lifted.

MUB will be collecting water quality samples in the area of the outage when the system recovers, which requires a minimum of 24 hours for analysis.

Customers and the appropriate agencies will be notified in the same manner once the analysis is complete and the advisory can be lifted.
