BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Members of Bridgeport City Council have scheduled a meeting for Thursday to potentially terminate newly hired city manager Pat Ford. The meeting is scheduled for this Thursday at 5 p.m.

Ford was sworn in as city manager in October of 2024.

Ford wrote to councilors and the mayor that he was directed to correct the workplace culture in the city and his termination would conceal the findings.

In the letter, Ford talks about an internalinvestigation that was initiated in February, but did not describe any additional details.

Ford also cited state code in saying he was entitled to have a public meeting to talk about his future employment with the city.
