MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The West Virginia Board of Education (WVBE) has recognized two area schools as Exemplary Practice Schools.

Mylan Park Elementary School in Monongalia County and the White Hall Elementary School in Marion County have been honored as members of the 2025 class of West Virginia Exemplary Practice Schools.

Mylan Park Elementary School is now a Distinguished Title 1 School by increasing English/Language Arts Proficiency by 16 percent in grades 3 through 5 since 2018.

The White Hall Elementary School in Marion County earned the same honor by achieving a 22 percent increase in math proficiency since 2018.

Celebrations are planned at each school that received an award.
