MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A student at West Virginia University has been charged in connection with a stabbing reported April 6.

Morgantown Police responded to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospitaland found theunidentified victim with multiple stab wounds.

Detectives said after learning the incident took place on Forest Avenue earlier that day they obtained surveillance video that showed Tyler Bollhorst, 20, and others arguing with the victim. Bollhorst can be seen on video with the knife in his right hand swinging it at the victim.

Bollhorst has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.

The investigation remains active.
