GRAFTON, W.Va. — A former member of the Grafton Police Department has been indicted in connection with an Aug. 2024 assault on Grand Street.
Police arrived to find the victim bleeding from the head and had marks around his neck.
While waiting for EMS to arrive, the victim told police Andre Cosby, 35, of Grafton, choked and beat him.
When investigators made contact with Cosby, he told them he had been at home all day except for a trip to Walmart. However, a victim of the neighbor had video footage showing Cosby walking away from the victim’s home with blood on his shirt.
Cosby has been indicted for malicious assault.
