Mannington standoff suspect remains on the run

MANNINGTON, W.Va. — A suspect remains at large following a Mannington standoff with West Virginia State Police Wednesday.

Troopers responded to a report of a domestic incident in which Michael Jason Kellar, 34, may have barricaded himself in a residence with a firearm on Buffalo Street.

A six-hour standoff followed, and police believe at some point Kellar was able to flee the home.

Kellar is described as a white male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 185 pounds, with blue eyes and black hair.

Troopers said the only threats he has made have been toward law enforcement, and he is not considered dangerous to the general public.
