WORTHINGTON, W.Va. — A Marion County is in custody after deputies found eight children living in a home with feces everywhere. .
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department announced that Edmond Todd, Jr., 54, and Nina Todd, 52, have each been charged with eight counts of child neglect after an investigation that began in November.
According to a criminal complaint, CPS received a referral about the children living in harsh conditions on Gray’s Run Road in Worthington where all eight children, ranging in age from 10 to 16, were found on the property.
When deputies were called, a strong odor of raw sewage could be smelled before entering the trailer, with feces found all across the floor with open bags of trash strewn about. A hole in the ceiling of one of the children’s bedrooms was later found above the bed and feces piled in the toilet in the bathroom when the rest of the house was investigated.
Edmond and Nina are both currently in the North Central Regional Jail.
