WALLACE, W.Va. – A pursuit of a motorcycle that began in Wetzel County on Thursday ended with two people dead after a crash near the Harrison and Wetzel county line.
According to West Virginia State Police, Nicholas Littleton, 37, and passenger Michaela Collins, 29, were killed after a Harley Davidson motorcycle that Wetzel County deputies pursued on West Virginia Route 20 heading south toward Harrison County crashed after it allegedly reached speeds exceeding 110 miles per hour.
The pursuit ended on Route 20, just after crossing into Harrison County before entering the Wallace community, when Littleton lost control of the motorcycle and hit a guardrail.
Both Littleton and Collins died on impact.
No information has been released at this time into what the reason was for the pursuit.
