MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A Monongalia County woman will now spend over a decade behind bars for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl.

The United States Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of West Virginia announced that Stephanie Ann Allen, 34, was sentenced to 12 years and seven months in federal prison after she was arrested with 73 grams of meth and seven grams of fentanyl in her possession.

According to court documents, law enforcement officers saw Allen engage in “suspicious activity” in the parking lot of the High Life Lounge in Morgantown, prompting a search of her vehicle. Officers later found the large quantities of meth and fentanyl as part of the search.

The release said Allen has a history of various other crimes, including burglary, robbery, and drug possession. According to a criminal complaint filed in 2022, Allen attempted to “flush other bags of both heroin and methamphetamine down a toilet” while being processed by deputies with the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department.

Allen is set to serve three years of supervised release following her sentence.
