ELKINS, W.Va. — The City of Elkins is preparing to demolish the troubled Four Seasons Motel property. The property was recentl;y purchased by the city after numerous nusance complaints and suspected criminal activity.

The propert was eclosed with a fence Wednesday by a private contractor to prevent people from accessing the site and getting injured.

Next, a pest control company will treat the grounds of property every week for the next six weeks. The treatments are design to reduce the possibility future infestations on the property and to protect those nearby from pests during the demolition phase.

During demolition preparation, asbestos testing will also be conducted.

City officials are working on the bid documents and are preparing to put the demolition contract out for bid.
