COVINGTON, KY. — More details have been released related to the arrest of former WVU defensive back Adam “Pacman” Jones.
The Covington Police Department issued a media release that confirmed that Jones was arrested Saturday in a Kentucky suburb just outside of Cincinnati after a reported disturbance call at a local bar.
According to the release, officers arrived to find Jones, 41, allegedly acting in a manner that appeared to be intoxicated while being disruptive to officers conducting an investigation. He was arrested shortly after, where he was transported to Kenton County Detention Center.
According to officers, Jones allegedly assaulted the arresting officer while being lodged by ‘intentionally throwing his elbow upwards,’ which resulted in a minor injury to the officer’s face. Jones was later charged with alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct in the 2nd degree, and assault in the 3rd degree (police officer).
In a video released by TMZ Sports, the interaction is shown (without sound) where Jones is seen interacting in an unpleasant manner with two Covington police officers. This was followed by Jones being placed against a police vehicle in what appears to be him getting arrested. No video of the incident related to the assault of the officer while in custody was released by TMZ or by law enforcement.
This is the fourth time Jones has been arrested since 2021 at least, his previous one being after the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas in November 2024, where he was booked on similar charges.
