MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Mon Metro Drug Task Force took part in a multi-force operation that resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of over 43 pounds of various drugs.
According to a press release by the Morgantown Police Department, nine search warrants were executed across Monongalia and Marion Counties on Monday, June 16, where 14 individuals were arrested on various state and federal drug charges. Three were executed in Monongalia County and six in Marion County.
As part of the searches, law enforcement seized approximately 21.5 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, around 17 pounds of fentanyl, 2.5 pounds of crack cocaine, and 2.2 pounds of cocaine HCL. Cash valued at $13,715 was seized at the nine locations, as well as 30 firearms and a significant amount of ammunition.
The West Virginia State Police Special Response Team (SRT) North, Morgantown Police Department SRT, Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department SRT, DEA Louisville Division SRT, West Virginia University Police Department, Fairmont Police Department, DEA Clarksburg, FBI Clarksburg, and ATF Clarksburg all took part in the operation.
