FAIRMONT, W.Va. -An alleged leader of an area motorcycle gang is on trial in Marion County in connection with the 2022 murder of Henry Silver.
Ryan Lane, 37, is reported to be the president of the Pagan Motorcycle Club chapter that is accused of shooting Silver to death because they believed he was romantically involved with a girlfriend of one of the members.
Lane is one of six arrested in the investigation into the shooting at a Carolina apartment complex. John Wolf, found guilty of first-degree murder in April of 2024, learned of the secret relationship and conspired with other members of the club to kill Silver.
On the day of the killing, court documents said Lane and Wolfe continued to communicate, allegedly about the events before and after the shooting.
Wolfe was sentenced to life in prison for first-degree murder in June 2024. Austin Mullins is believed to be the shooter and was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
Derek Clem and Dane Hull have also been sentenced to prison for their role in the crime.
