MORGANTOWN, W.Va – The state Division of Highways (DOH) has announced traffic restrictions on I-79 next week near the Pennsylvania state line that is expected to cause delays.
Beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday, August 26 through 6 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27 the northbound and southbound slow lanes will be closed from mile marker 155.5, just past the Star City exit, to mile marker 160.5 near the state line.
Wednesday, August 27 at 6 a.m., the traffic restriction will switch to the fast lanes on the northbound and southbound sides. The fast lane closures will last until 7 p.m. Wednesday then continue from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could extend or change the project schedule.
