KINGWOOD, W.Va. — A high-speed chase that began on Kingwood Pike and ended on Emerald Drive in Kingwood has resulted in the seizure of multiple drugs and two arrests.

The Preston County Sheriff’s Department announced via press release that Vince McMillen and Amanda Kidd (age and town of residence not released) were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly fleeing from police in a white Ford F-150 on Kingwood Pike with fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana in the vehicle before crashing twice.

According to the release, deputies observed McMillen and Kidd pick up a female along the Kingwood Pike near the West Virginia University Preston County Agriculture and Natural Resource Farm on Tuesday, around a week after McMillen fled law enforcement attempting to arrest him on a parole hold. After an attempt to stop McMillen, he allegedly fled from deputies in pursuit, driving at a high rate of speed in reverse before running off the road and hitting a WVU Farms fence.

In the second alleged attempt to flee, McMillen drove onto Kingwood Drive and then turned onto Emerald Drive, where the second collision caused the vehicle to be disabled. McMillen and Kidd were both arrested shortly after the vehicle was stopped.

During the search of the truck, deputies allegedly found .95 pounds of methamphetamine, 2.48 ounces of fentanyl, and two ounces of marijuana, along with a loaded pistol and $5,200 cash.

McMillen and Kidd were both charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Additional charges are pending.
