FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Police in Fairmont are searching for a suspect in an early Monday morning shooting.
Police are searching for Antonio Marquise Evans, 29. Evans is a black male, 6-foot 2-inches tall, 190 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
Evans was involved in a gunfight on Spence Street with another suspect and fled the area with a rifle. Evans was last seen in the Jackson Addition area of Fairmont.
Evans has a criminal record including arrests for drug possession, domestic battery, and burglary and should be considered dangerous, according to officials.
One person was hit by gunfire and is being treated at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe this was targeted shooting and there is no danger to the public at-large.
