MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. — The state Division of Highways (DOH) is preparing to make emergency repairs to a bridge in Monongalia County.
One lane of the bridge on Birchfield Run Road/County Route 33 near Morgantown has been closed after a partial collapse Tuesday night. The damage happened when an overweight truck entered the bridge and fell through the bridge deck.
Bridge repairs are expected to begin Thursday, November 20 and should be completed within 30 days.
The bridge will be closed while repairs are being made.
Birchfield Run Road is in southern Monongalia County and connects River Road with Little Indian Creek Road near the Little Indian Creek Wildlife Management Area.
