MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A Morgantown man is facing multiple charges after an attack on a woman at a Canyon Road residence.
The victim told police she was at a residence on Canyon Road when she went for a walk and Jonathan Savin, 40, picked her up,
Savin took her to another residence where the pair got into a hot tub.
The victim told police Savin caused bruises to her chest, arms, and lower leg. He also forced her underwater and choked her to the point she could not breathe.
Savin then took her out of the hot tub into the home where he forced her to perform sexual acts.
Savin has been charged with first-degree sexual abuse, second-degree sexual assault and strangulation.
Police said surveillance footage at the property verified the vstory of the victim.
Savin is being held in the North Central Regional Jail on a $75,000 bond.
