MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Morgantown Farmers Market Growers Association is ready to showcase homemade goods and homegrown produce from around North Central West Virginia.

The first Morgantown Winter Farmers Market of the 2025-26 season will take place on Saturday, November 22, at the Monongalia County Center at Mylan Park starting at 8:30 a.m. Market Manager Willow Helon encourages Morgantown area residents looking to shop for local produce to check out the just over three dozen farms and local businesses that are scheduled to be in attendance until 12 p.m.

“The farmers market is going to take place at the Mon County Center at Mylan Park, and we’ll have tons of different produce,” said Helon. “It is indoors, so that will be very nice since it’s starting to get colder.”

According to Hellon, the attendees will include farmers from around Monongalia, Marion, and Preston Counties, as well as parts of Maryland and Pennsylvania. This includes Mountain Harvest Farm and Olive Branch Farm based out of Monongalia County, as well as Evans Knob Farm based out of Preston County, with produce options that can feed your family throughout the day. Seasonal vegetable options are expected to be sold during the Saturday farmers market as well.

“We have some vendors that have eggs, which is always something that people are always wanting to get, (plus) we have a coffee lady who sells specialty coffees and teas this season,” said Helon.

For the homemade goods that will be sold at the first Morgantown Winter Farmers Market for 2025-26, items ranging from goat-based hygiene products to wooden bowls will be offered by individual vendors. This will be separate from seasonal offerings such as flavored teas and pastries that are made fresh from produce made directly in West Virginia. Unique options that separate a trip to the farmers market from the grocery store.

“Broken Boulder is going to be there, and they sell a variety of skincare products such as goat milk soap, and they just started making goat milk bath bombs,” said Helon, offering an example of a vendor selling homemade hygiene products. “So that’s something you can find at the winter market this season.”

The Morgantown Winter Farmers Market will be hosted at the Monongalia County Center at Mylan Park throughout the winter until the start of April 2026. This will take place every two weeks for the rest of the winter until the return to the downtown Morgantown pavilion on Spruce Street, starting in the spring. With dozens of local farmers and businesses expected to be in attendance, the hope is that residents will take the time to check out the winter version of the farmers market in the near future.

“Our vendors have high tunnels that they can keep growing stuff in, so you’ll always have a great turnout if you show up any weekend,” said Helon.
