MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department is looking for help from the public to find a suspect in the distribution of child pornography.
The investigation began when the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) notified investigators that David Conaway was soliciting a 16-year old girl via email. Officials said the girl’s email address was a Monongalia County Schools email address.
David Conaway is described as a now 24-year old white male, 5-feet 9-inches, and 170 pounds.
After an arrest in 2021 for allegedly asking an underage girl to send nude photos of herself deputies allegedly overheard Conaway say,” a 23-year-old can have sex with a 16-year-old… but I could still get in trouble for nudes.”
