CHEAT LAKE, W.Va. — A section of Interstate 68 was closed for several hours Thursday after a semi-truck tipped over near Cheat Lake as a result of morning snow.
According to West Virginia 511, the incident occured just before 4 a.m. near Cheat Lake, less than a half mile from the exit that’s located near the Pierpont Shopping Center.
Both lanes were closed for roughly two hours Thursday morning with one lane reopened shortly before 5 a.m. The second land has remained closed for the majority of Thursday afternoon.
Officials with Monongalia County 911 were unable to confirm if any injuries were reported.
