VALLEY HEAD, W.Va. — An arrest has been made in Randolph County related to an incident earlier this month where a man was hospitalized after being attacked by a pack of dogs.
Janet Lynn Lang, 41, of Valley Head, faces three counts each of keeping vicious dogs, dogs running at large, no rabies vaccinations and failure to pay taxes/registrations.
She is accused of owning the three dogs that attacked 70-year-old Donald Ware as he was walking in Valley Head on January 12, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department.
Ware had to be treated for his injuries at Davis Medical Center in Elkins.
Randolph County Animal Control Officer Jim Cain assisted in the investigation of the case, which is now pending in Randolph County Magistrate Court.
Bail for Lang was set at $2,160 and she is currently being held at Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
