Arrest made in Morgantown Jimmy John’s robbery

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Police in Morgantown have arrested George Hess in connection with the May 31 robbery of the Jimmy Johns on High Street.

An employee told police a suspect matching the description of the 20-year-old man came into the business around 1:30 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk. The employee told police Hess displayed what was suspected to be a handgun.

Hess has been charged with second degree robbery and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
