Elkins man arrested after fleeing from police

ELKINS, W.Va. — A Randolph County man was arrested Wednesday after fleeing from authorities on foot.

Lindsey Jay Studer, 43, of Elkins, was stopped by a Deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department on an outstanding warrant for his third offense of driving with a revoked license for DUI.

Studer then fled the scene on foot and was pursued by the Deputy until cornered in a yard. He refused to comply with the officer until pepper-sprayed.

Studer was transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail and now faces an additional charge of Fleeing on Foot.
