Emergency workers exposed to COVID at Harrison County event

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – Harrison County officials have confirmed at least one first responder has tested positive for COVID-19 after being exposed August 1 at an event at the Bel Meadow Golf Club.

Health officials are working with the Harrison County Office of Emergency Management and say the event is not an outbreak. Health officials define an outbreak as three or more infections from the same location or gathering.

All emergency workers that attended the event are urged to get tested.
