Escaped inmate caught in Fairmont

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Less than 24 hours after he escaped from the Pruntytown Correctional Center, Micahel Beavis is back in custody.

Beavis was arrested early Monday morning when officers tracked him down to a BFS gas station in Fairmont and took him into custody around 1:40 a.m.

Beavis took off from the correctional facility in Grafton Sunday morning around 10:40.

He was serving 5 to 10 years on five counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and one count of receiving/transferring a stolen vehicle.
