Fairmont man faces charges following routine traffic stop

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – A loud exhaust led to traffic stop by Bridgeport that yielded marijuana and methamphetamine.

Police made contact with Lawrence Vincent, 46, on Route 707 near Route 279 and determined his license had been suspended for insurance violations. During the traffic stop Vincent told police there was marijuana in the vehicle.

Police found one bag of marijuana in his pocket, another bag of marijuana in the vehicle, methamphetamine and $602 in cash.

Vincent now faces two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. He is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
