CLARKSBURG, W. Va. – An inmate at United States Penitentiary Hazleton has entered a guilty plea to one count of voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of another inmate in 2018.
United States Attorney, William said Ronnie Legette, 39, admitted to stabbing Demario Porter in a heat of passion on September 17, 2018, in Preston County.
Legette faces up to 15 years of prison time and a fine of up to $250,000.
The incident was investigated by the Bureau of Prisons.
