FAIRMONT, W.Va. – West Virginia governor Jim Justice has appointed Robert R. Hutson Jr. of Birmingham, AL, to the Fairmont State University Board of Governors.
Hutson is a 1991 graduate of Fairmont State and currently the Chief Executive Officer of Diversified Gas & Oil.
Hutson earned a degree in accounting and spent 13 years working for Bank One and Compass Bank before establishing Diversified Gas & Oil in 2001. The company went public in 2017 and has been growing steadily in the Appalachian Basin.
He fills the vacancy on the FSU Board created by the resignation of William Mark Hart and his term will run through June 30, 2021.
