Mohigans upend Musselman 39-29

BUNKER HILL , W.Va.— After a tough loss against a very impressive Martinsburg team last week, the Mohigans rebounded on the road against Musselman with a 39-29 win.

The Applemen were undefeated at the start of Friday’s game but appeared to be no match for Morgantown’s running game.

The Mohigans started their rushing attack off with a bang with Alajuan Robinson rushing for a 70 yard touchdown, his fourth of the season. Morgantown continued with the fast scoring with a fumble recovery for touchdown soon after.

Morgantown maintained a 14-0 lead through the second quarter until Jacob Northcraft scored what would be his first of four touchdowns for Musselman. Northcraft scored two touchdowns in the first half in between a Mohigans touchdown run by Javohn Moore, keeping a 21-15 lead at halftime.

In the start of the second half, Morgantown turned the ball over three times, one of which resulted in Jacob Northcraft’s third touchdown run, leaving Morgantown down 22-21 heading into the 4th quarter.

In the 4th, Morgantown maintained a strong rushing attack which included two Ty Konchesky touchdown runs, one of which resulted in a turnover. Despite allowing another Northcraft touchdown, the Mohignas beat the undefeated Applemen on the road 39-29.

Morgantown moves to 3-3 on the season and will host 3-3 Wheeling Park next week.
