Morgantown business uses T-shirts to raise hope and funds for local food pantries

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Morgantown-based Blue & Gold Graphics is producing COVID-19 commemorative t-shirts and donating a portion to help local food pantries.

Blue & Gold Graphics owner, Michelle Umble wanted to find some of the humorous things we’ve seen while dealing with the realities of the virus.

“I have a COVID-19 T-shirt I’ve created for 2020, that kind of sums up a little bit of everything that has touched us all,” Umble said.

The “2020 The Year Of COVID-19 Quarantine” theme refers to things like Zoom meetings, hoarding toilet paper, Tiger King, cancelled events, social distancing and communities coming together.

Half of the proceeds will go to Pantry Plus More and the Wadestown Food Pantry.

“I wanted to create something for everyone, not just here in West Virginia,” Umble said,”It’s effected everyone, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, it’s everyone.”

Umble says there’s no limit on production, so that means there are enough to provide vital resources to the food pantries.

“I’m pretty quick, once I got the ball rolling I wanted to be able to do it on the spot if you came in,” Umble said,”So, if I have to take off of another order I’ll make another one.”

Blue & Gold Graphics is located at 133 Greenbag Road or call 304-376-1888.
