Morgantown man admits to harboring man suspected of shooting at police

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – According to U.S. Attorney Bill Powell, Paul Chibuzo, 24, has entered a guilty plea to harboring and concealing a federal fugitive and making false statements to a federal agent.

Chibuzo admitted to hiding Donquale Gray who was wanted for shooting at a Bluefield, Virginia, police officer during a traffic stop in February of 2019. Chibuzo allowed Gray to hide at his residence from March 1 to March 6 of 2019.

Gray was shot and killed by police when he fired shots during a foot chase in Morgantown on March 6, 2019.

Chibuzo faces up to five years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000 for each charge.
