Morgantown woman enters plea in drug pipeline

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — One of the 20 co-defendants in a drug trafficking investigation from Pennsylvania to West Virginia enters a drug plea in federal court.

Tara Dustin, 23, of Morgantown faces 20 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine for selling oxycodone in Monongalia County in May 2-14.

Dustin pleaded guilty to distribution of oxycodone in federal court Thursday.

In November, the U.S. Attorney announced a 65-count federal indictment with dozens of suspects accused in trafficking heroin and painkillers from Philadelphia to Morgantown.

The West Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the

Mon Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, and the Morgantown Police Department were involved in the investigation into that drug pipeline.
