MountainFest set to rumble for the 15th time this year

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Soon the rumble of all types of motorcycles will be prevalent across the Morgantown area as the 15th annual MountainFest gets underway officially Thursday. Check-in for campers begins Thursday, events and live music run through Saturday.

Organizer Jamie Summerlin said, “We’ve been here for the past four days, already on the property building out the Coal Bucket Saloon getting fencing, tents and everything else set up. We’re looking forward to putting on the best year ever at MountainFest-our 15th anniversary.”

Other special events planned include the Wall of Death, Tim Dyson Free Style Motocross, the only female motorcycle high-wire act Circus Una, Mountain Man Axe Throwing and lots of great looking bikes.

Summerlin says the economic impact for the area is also significant. Nearly all hotel rooms in the Mon County area will be filled, a four-and-a-half-hour poker run highlighting covered bridges will take bikers into at least four north central West Virginia Counties and concerts by national acts like the Charlie Daniels Band, Peter Frampton and Cheap Trick bring additional festival goers to the area.

Tickets for all events are available online here.
