One arrested after attack on Walmart employees in Granville

GRANVILLE, W.Va. One was arrested after an alleged attack on two Walmart employees at the University Town Center.

Police said Joseph Hailey punched and elbowed one worker after being told he was trespassing. Another employee witnessed the attack but was unable to help.

Police said Hailey was taken into custody without incident and smelled like alcohol.

According to the police, Hailey was compliant until they attempted to complete the fingerprint process. Hailey allegedly pulled away violently and had to be restrained to the floor.

While being subdued, police said Hailey struck an officer with his fist.

Hailey has been charged with bullying and disorderly conduct.

The two employees were treated by Mon EMS.
