Pharmacy robbery suspects arrested in Morgantown

Armed RobberyMORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Two men face charges after investigators said they stole drugs from a Monongalia County pharmacy.

Sean Griffin, 21, of Moundsville and James Griffin, 24, of Morgantown were arrested Thursday and charged with armed robbery and conspiracy.

West Virginia State Police said the two men showed a handgun and demanded prescription pain killers from workers at CVS Pharmacy on Pine View Drive about 8:00 a.m.

A witness called 911 with a description of the get-away car.

Monongalia County Sheriff’s Deputies and State Police pursued the vehicle on a short chase that ended in the Ruby Memorial Hospital parking lot.

Monongalia County Magistrate Jim Nabors set bonds for each suspect at $50,000.

The men were transported to the North Central Regional Jail.
