Preston County man charged with embezzling money from Heston Farms Winery

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — A Preston County man has been charged with embezzling thousands of dollars from a Marion County winery.

Matthew Hollier, 25, of Kingwood, was arrested Thursday after the Marion County Sheriff’s Department was called to Heston Farm Winery when the theft of keys for the cash drawer were reported stolen.

Hollier, who worked at the winery, was found at the site talking to the owners and reportedly admitted voluntarily to authorities that he stole the keys in order to take approximately $2,300 and blank checks he cashed at area businesses for drug money.

He is being held at North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $100,000.
