Preston County renews harm reduction program with Milan Puskar Health Right

KINGWOOD, W.Va.– The Preston County Board of Health has renewed the harm reuction program with Milan Puskar Health for another year.

Representatives from Health Right come to Preston County one day each month to provide the service.

The program includes counselors, nurses and the needle exchange program.

Officials say the program prevents the spread of infectious diseases and reduces the number of discarded needles in Preston County. The program also offers treatment opportunities for those who elect to begin recovery.
