Search continues for Monongalia County robbery suspect

MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. — The search continues Monday for a suspect in an armed robbery in Blacksville.

According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, a man with a baseball bat robbed the Dollar Store about 10:40 p.m. Sunday.

Chief Deputy Perry Palmer issued a release describing the suspect as a 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-1 white man with a slight build.  He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, black toboggan, black gloves and a bandanna.

As two workers were leaving the store for the night, the suspect allegedly ordered them back into the building where he took an undisclosed amount of money and left.

A K-9 tracking dog was unable to locate the man.
