Seven years in prison for Stonewood man for firearm violations

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – Matthew Scott Collins, 37, of Stonewood, has been sentenced seven years in prison for a firearms charge in Barbour County in July of 2018, U.S. Attorney Bill Powell announced.

Collins pled guilty to one count of possession of a stolen firearm in January 2020. Collins admitted to having a .22 caliber rifle, a 9mm pistol, and a .223 caliber rifle, all three were stolen weapons.
