Talk of the Town coming to WAJR-FM

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Local issues will be the focus a new talk show coming to WAJR-FM starting Wednesday morning. “The Talk of the Town with Dave Wilson and Sarah Giosi” will air each weekday morning at 9:06 and feature discussion about current events around north central West Virginia.

“We want to talk about the issues that are important to people right here, the decisions city councils are making, how county commissioners are spending your tax money, what’s going with the schools,” explained host Dave Wilson.

Wilson took over as host of “Morgantown AM” on WAJR-AM in July 2016. Giosi joined the show in 2017.

A St. Marys, WV native, Wilson graduated from Marshall University in 2006 with degree in journalism. He spent three years working as a news anchor and reporter for WINC radio in Winchester, VA before joining the WV Radio Corp. in 2010 as a morning news anchor and reporter.

Giosi, an alumna of University High School, grew up in the Morgantown and has been a radio personality in the region since 2012. The Fairmont State University graduate spent several years touring the country with multiple theatre groups and also worked with United Way.

“We had some big shoes to fill. Kay Murray and Jim Stallings, who hosted Morgantown AM for more than 25 years, set the standard for local talk shows,” said Giosi.

A major component to the show will be speaking with newsmakers around the region.

“Whether it’s a member of city council, a state senator, or a congressman we have an opportunity to ask them questions that people in this area deserve to answers to,” Wilson said.

“The Talk of the Town with Dave Wilson and Sarah Giosi” will air at 9:06 prior to “Talkline with Hoppy Kercheval” and can be heard on 103.3 FM, 104.5 FM and AM 1440. Additionally the show will be streamed live at wajr.com.
