UPDATED: Three arrested in Morgantown burglary

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. Three have been arrested following a suspected burglary in the 700 block of Snider Street early Tuesday.

At approximately 1:45 a.m., officers were dispatched and arrived within three minutes of the initial call.

“An adult female reported she was entering her apartment and that three unknown males shoved her and entered the residence, locking the door behind them,” Powell said.

Powell said when the police arrived, they observed a suspect fleeing from a rear window. When police ordered the suspect to exit the residence, he retreated back inside and refused to come out.

With assistance from the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department, deputies and officers from Morgantown set up a perimeter around the building while remaining officers entered the apartment to locate the suspects.

“We made entry into that apartment, located the suspects, and arrested them for burglary,” Powell said. “There were also pending charges relating to drugs.”

Police arrested Anthony Quinn, 24, of Grafton; Andrew Keith, 36, of Morgantown; and Andrew Kyle Trefz, 25. All were charged with one count of burglary. Additional weapons and controlled substance violations are also pending.

All three suspects are awaiting arraignment in Monongalia County Magistrate Court.
