Three arrested in University Ave. robbery

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– Police in Morgantown say the victim knew the three men who assaulted the robbed his apartment.

Officers were called to an apartment complex on University Avenue Wednesday night around 10:00 to a reported robbery. The victim reported the three suspects were in his apartment when they physically assaulted him, the stole his wallet, laptop and drug paraphernalia. Police used a description of the suspects and their vehicle from the victim to quickly locate the three men on Grafton Road. Cops conducted a traffic stop near Scott Ave. and took them into custody and recovered the stolen items.

Marquez Alexander Wing, 20, of Mount Airy, MD; Malik Levon Cobb, 19, of Martinsburg; and Daniel Joseph Eppard, 19, of Winchester, VA are all charged with a single count of robbery.

The victim suffered only minor injuries during the assault and declined medical treatment.
