Three Clarksburg students caught with THC vaping device in school

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – Three students at the Mountaineer Middle School in Clarksburg have caught with THC vaping devices in the building, according to officials.

Thursday, the Prevention Resource Officer (PRO) noticed of intoxication and began talking to the students. At that time, the PRO was able to get the vaping device from the student.

Following a test of a material in the vaping device a Code Blue, or medical emergency was declared. The test confirmed there was no fentanyl in the vaping device.

Two of the students were sent to the hospital to be picked up by parents and the third was transported by ambulance.

The PRO has identified the student student who brought the vaping device to school and has been referred to the juvenile system, all three will be sanctioned by the school district.
